Please refer to the merit badge workbook(s) for prerequisites before the clinic.
I previous clinics, scouts have presented for welding merit badge without the required clothing. Scouts will not be turned away but without the proper safety precautions with regards to the required clothing, the merit badge cannot be completed.
For welding merit badge, required clothing: (no synthetic materials)
Long (durable) pants, denim recommended
Long-sleeve shirt
Durable shoes with socks
Lightweight leather gloves
Light cap is suggested
Z87.1 (ANSI Rating) eyen protection (safety glasses) |
